The International School of Helsingborg has provided a truly international education at the Primary and Secondary levels since 1995. Today, we have approximately 850 students between 2 and 19 years of age, across all programmes. We are an IB Continuum school, delivering the International Baccalaureate curriculum for all program levels. English is the primary language of learning at the school.

Job description
With our MYP Coordinator continuing at our school as the MYP Principal, we are now seeking a strong pedagogical leader to join our team as our MYP Coordinator. Would you like to join us?
The MYP with approximately 200 students, is part of the whole school International Baccalaureate Program (IB) continuum at the International School of Helsingborg, and as such, it is grounded in conceptual, skill- and inquiry-based learning.
The position is an assignment that combines both MYP teaching and coordination. The role requires you to work closely with the MYP Principal to ensure that the MYP curriculum is implemented and that professional development is provided to meet the IB requirements. Additionally, the MYP Coordinator is responsible for providing IB information, guidance and administrative support to candidates, colleagues and other stakeholders.

At ISH, we understand that highly effective schools focus on student outcomes and additionally that professional learning is the core lever for improving student learning. We have active professional learning communities (PLC) whose aim is to work collaboratively through a teacher evaluation model so as to purposefully impact student progress. As MYP Coordinator, you are committed to positively impacting student progression and have the pedagogical leadership skills to develop professional learning communities within the program.
The MYP coordinator works collaboratively with the school's PYP and DP coordinators as well as with the principals of all the programs at ISH to design a balanced, exciting and vibrant MYP program that supports the students intellectual, social and emotional growth in a safe and caring environment.
The MYP Coordinator is expected to visibly support the school's mission and vision.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be certified to teach in middle school, will have previously worked in a middle school and will have taught at least 4 years in the MYP.
Fluency in the English language both verbally and in writing is crucial for the role. Knowledge of the Swedish language is a strong benefit but not a requirement for the position. Experience in middle leadership will be seen as a strong advantage as will previous experience in an IB coordinator role. The position requires strong administrative and communication skills.
The candidate will be a positive leader who is open-minded and flexible. The coordinator must demonstrate enthusiasm, warmth and strong interpersonal skills with children, parents, and colleagues and be committed to diversity and multicultural educational practices.
