hela Sverige Karsby International School is looking for a Swedish licensed (lärarlegitimation) music teacher for year 4-9 students. You will teach some lessons in half groups and some in full. You have your own music room and an auditorium (aula) to your disposal.
Karsby is well known for its concert shows in the Fall and Spring terms. As the music teacher, you will be in charge of these two entertaining activities.
Karsby International School is a municipal school (F-9) in Norsborg, Botkyrka Kommum. The school is located just by the subway station.
We have students from all over the world and are now seeking the best licensed and experienced teachers for them. We are now developing our international profile and would like a teacher who can help us achieve that. We are guided by the Swedish school curriculum (LGR11) and the values that it expresses. We also believe in relationship building and the teachers' faith that all students can succeed.
Botkyrka Kommun has a joint program called (Mentors in violence prevention- MVP) with schools, the police, the fire service and the social services to prevent violence in all forms in and outside school in an early stage. Karsby International School is a pioneer pilot school of the program and our active participation in it has brought additional fame and recognition to the school. Sometimes, our mentor students travel to other schools in Stockholm and beyond to offer coaching assistance to other schools that are also implementing the MVP program for the first time.
We feel it is of great importance that our students develop new knowledge to make them free and competitive in their quest for life opportunities local and international.
Staff meetings and other school information flow are in Swedish, however, you are welcome to teach in English. If you are interested in wanting to give the students the best education, future and life chances, you are more than welcome to send in your application.
