For our Youth & Entertainment brands MTV and VH1 in the Nordics, and as a member of our Programming team, we are recruiting a Music Programming Manager. As our next talent you will be responsible for music programming on MTV (Nordics) and VH1 (Denmark). The position can be based in our office in either Copenhagen or Stockholm.

As a music programming manager your main responsibility will be scheduling music content for MTV and VH1. To make the channels a success you will create imaginative and compelling themed schedules (stunts, music countdowns etc) ensuring that they are competitive and commercially viable. Together with our research teams, you will analyze the channels' performance by reviewing audience figures. It is therefore desirable to have a good understanding of ratings and airplay data from both radio and television, as well as digital/online research in order to reach the channels' ratings objectives.

This is a diverse role where you also will be managing relationships with the music industry, getting updated on new music, album launches, tour dates and view exclusive pitches for new videos. You will identify potential local talent initiatives, music video acquisitions and collaborate with regional on-air music chart shows, pop-up channels and other commercial opportunities. Together with our social media-, PR- and marketing departments you will be able to promote our channels upcoming plans.

We are looking for:

• Previous experience in scheduling for radio or TV. Familiarity of Music Master and/or What's On is a major advantage.
• A strong knowledge about music and music videos, especially within the 21-50 target demographic.
• At least 3 years background in broadcasting or music industry.
• Comprehension of regional TV regulation (preferably across the Nordics).
• A good understanding of television ratings measurements.
• Fluent in Danish/Swedish and English (verbal and written).
• Structured, business-minded and with attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines but also adapt to business needs and prioritize accordingly.
• Responsible, able to work independently along with cooperating well with others
