Epidemic Sound's music is heard in hundreds of millions of online videos daily, across millions of playlist streams, and in thousands of in-store locations. We're now looking for a Music Curator for our Music Curation team. This is an interim position (until October, 2022) reporting to our Client Music Curation Manager.
How you will make an impact
If you are a music expert that enjoys a fast-paced environment, this is the position for you. Music Curation is instrumental within Epidemic Sound to support and create additional value for our growing customer base of storytellers ranging from individual content creators to global enterprises. As a Music Curator in this team, you will be focusing on curating music for our platform player as well as individual clients. Your job will be to ensure that our users worldwide always have the right music at hand for their projects.
This will include tasks like:
• Conceptualize, curate, and develop playlists towards various content objectives
• Perform music searches on requests from external clients as well as internal departments
• Meet clients/editors to perform demos of the Epidemic Sound player and help in educating and inspiring them to find the right music for their needs
• Analyze music data and participate in projects based on insights
• Manage distribution of themed playlists in the ES Player
• Write engaging copy for playlist descriptions and other music-related areas
Who you are
We believe that you have a tireless interest in a broad variety of music, as well as a deeper knowledge of a few specific genres. If you have a passion for TV, film, soundtracks, video content creation etc. you will be a great addition to our already amazing team.
Previous experience working within the music industry within sync licensing, music supervision, curation, editorial content, radio programming or related, is a must. You are confident in your ability to discern music quality and have a knack for pairing music with content. To be successful you will need to look beyond your daily tasks and feel the rhythm of a constantly changing company in a global industry with many twists and turns.
As an individual, you are creative, self-motivated, efficient and a team player who is not afraid to express your ideas. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
