hela Sverige MUJI was founded in 1980. Its origin was a thorough rationalization of the manufacturing process with an eye to creating simple, low-cost, good quality products. Specifically, we reexamined products through three lenses: material selection, inspection process and packaging simplification. For instance, if you omit the bleaching process for pulp, the resulting paper is light beige in color. MUJI used this paper for its packaging and labels. The ensuing products are remarkably pure and fresh. In notable contrast to the prevailing over-embellished products in the marketplace, MUJI's products both won great appreciation and sent shock waves not only through Japan but across the entire world.
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager's main goal is to manage and develop an efficient sales team in order to maximise the sales; control the stock and cash following the Company guidelines and deputise for the Store Manager in their absence.
Role and responsibilities
Sales
• Introduce and promote all categories of merchandise
• Demonstrating consistently high standards in all areas of branch operations.
Team Management
• Provide support to the store manager in recruiting new staff in accordance with company procedure.
• Work with the store manager to ensure all staff receives appropriate and necessary training to perform their duties at a high standard.
• Communicate both store and company budgets, assuring that all staff maintain an appropriate awareness.
• Complete and maintain Absentee and Overtime forms for personnel.
• High product knowledge and pass this knowledge onto staff.
Visual Merchandising and stock
• Assist in the layout and display of merchandise in line with MUJI visual standards, in an interesting and commercial way.
• Oversee stock supervisor in the maintenance and replenishment of stock, transferring and receiving stock and the organisation of stockroom.
Knowledge and skills
• Ability to manage and develop a positive and productive team
• Motivated to achieve and exceed goals
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive and motivate performance through effective training and coaching skills
• Demonstrable and strong business acumen
• Highly organised with the ability to adapt quickly to strategic change
• Self starter, who takes the initiative
• Good communicator
Education and experience
• Previous experience in Retail.
• Experience managing teams.
• Proven experience driving sales.
