Role description
Technical Sales
Work in full partnership with "In-house" R&D department, designer and/or project leader to fully understand the performance expectation, forecasted usage and duty of the new equipment under development
Create the exact engine specification and make the technical recommendation allowing the achievement of project objectives
Make the technical recommendation allowing the achievement of project objectives
Create the exact engine specification (bill of material)
Document the customer regarding all technical specifications of the proposed solution
Listen to and address customer requirements inside Volvo Penta
Prototype integration
Control the validity of first engine prototype delivery
Make and document all technical recommendation necessary to integrate the engine in the machine prototype
Give directives to secure a safe and reliable installation, a valid accessibility to engine and transmission for service and eventual aftermarket interventions
Appraisal test
Attend appraisal test
Organize and follow all performance tests, together with OEM according to Volvo Penta recommendation
Monitor all needed data in order to create a test installation report according to Volvo Penta procedure

Who are you?
To be successful in the position you need to be service minded, customer oriented, well organized and have excellent communication and networking skills. You have a passion for technical solutions and strong analytic and problem solving skills. However, most important is your excellent communication and cooperation skills.
Fluent in English and Swedish
A Technical Engineering degree is recommended
Beneficial with experience from vehicle or machine design in any form
Good knowledge of advanced data logger equipment and measurement measuring methods
