MSS (Marketing Sales and Service) Strategy and Business Development is a new department established in line with the new MSS operational direction as developed through project LEAD. This is based on the new Volvo Corporate Strategy where Volvo has set a clear way forward for a differentiated and modern Volvo brand definition as well as the Volvo business expansion. Focus of this department is on strategic project development and handling, concept delivery and operations management. Its strategic and business development activities and projects are of cross functional and inter area nature for business application or implementation.

Within MSS Strategy and Business Development, the Network Function develops the "long term strategic frame" embedded into the VCC (Volvo Car Corporation) brand experience strategy (network strategy 2020) and keeps the Corporation, markets and dealers on a mid term track (2 to 3 year horizon; develop, monitor and adjust if necessary).

The Retail Quality function reports to the Network Director and works cross functionally with VCCS (Volvo Car Customer Service), the Regions, markets, competence development and other areas and provides central guidance and support to all markets in their deployment of the enablers for retail quality and customer satisfaction eg.:

Customer satisfaction performance monitoring and corrective action planning ensuring that plans and resources are developed and in place to deliver step change performance improvement.
Sales process definition, best practice sharing in order to support Kompass implementation and optimize quality and customer satisfaction performance.
The development, implementation and continuous improvement of dealer standards and supporting tools to support delivery of the Retail Strategy 2020.

An integrated and aligned approach is to be established and followed across sales & customer service to synergise and ensure a coherent approach to the Global Volvo Dealer Network.

Job Description:

Working with a network of Standards Champions, Specialists and Regional/Market Co-ordinators, the Retail Standards Manager provides central governance for the Volvo Dealer Standards (Sales and Service) and leads the further development and continuous improvement of the Dealer Standards Program as a key enabler of The Volvo Retail Strategy 2020. The Dealer Standards Manager achieves this through strong leadership and project management of standards program and related activities in markets worldwide along with the development and maintenance of supporting tools (i.e. DDP (Dealer Development Platform ) and Supporting Audit Tools and resources) to deliver improved compliance levels.

Main Tasks:

Lead governance and project manage the development, deployment and continuous improvement of VCC Sales and Service Dealer standards and supporting tools in cooperation with Champions and Specialists within the markets and within VCC, capitalising on the experience gained at Retail.
Develop and maintain an effective network of Dealer Standards Champions/Coordinators within the Regions and Markets to drive and support the Standard implementation and compliance process in markets worldwide.
Set Volvo Global Dealer Standards Audit Policy and Global Standards audit process in support of the Retail Strategy 2020 and investigate feasibility and set up of Global Audit supplier (SGS) and appoint, set up and train as agreed.
