ARM is looking for experienced embedded software engineers to the Media Processing Division in Lund who wants to work as a MPD Graphic Software Engineer. You have an interest in video compression or 3D/2D graphics along with proven technical skills to expand the Lund software graphics driver team. Successful applicants will be working with implementation of software for our current and future graphics or video cores.
Description
The Media Processing Division produces Graphics hardware and software products for mobile and embedded devices. Our Mali TM Graphics Processors (GPUs) have an advanced, highly programmable architecture for accelerating 2D and 3D graphics, specifically tuned for high performance and energy efficiency. Our flagship Mali-T604 multi-core GPU sets a new standard for graphics and compute performance with low energy consumption. Our OpenGL ES, OpenVG and OpenCL drivers support cutting edge gaming and state of the art user interfaces on operating systems such as Linux and Android. Education & Qualifications
• University Degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering
• Relevant working experience.
• Excellent knowledge of C/C++
• Experience of embedded operating systems, device drivers, microprocessor and
embedded system hardware architectures.
• Proficiency in problem solving and debugging skills.
• Good knowledge of full Software life-cycle including specification design, test and documentation
• Experience of software optimization and instrumentation
• Good English communication skills, oral and written.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and UNIX development environments
Desirable Skills & Experience
• Experience in 2D graphics standards like OpenVG
• Experience in 3D graphics technology and standards such as OpenGL, OpenGL ES, Direct3D and EGL.
• Knowledge of embedded OS such as embedded Linux or Android.
• Experience in large, multi-site software development projects
