Modeling Engineer Within engine development testing;
This department out our customer site is responsible for calibration, endurance- , field- and quality improvement testing of our custom's engines within the boat industry, Drives and Vessel control systems. We are also responsible for virtual testing that is performed before and parallel with physical testing. We would like to extend our team with someone like you, who has a passion for Product Development in general and creating solutions for empirical modeling in particular. You can take the lead, as you have the ambition and energy to develop yourself in a way that can lead to new tasks and responsibilities.

Virtual Test Cell is our cusomter's solution for virtual testing. It is Hardware in Loop (HIL) system specialized for powertrain (engine and aftertreatment) testing and calibration. This will help us increase efficiency in virtual and physical engine testing and by then deliver products with the highest level of quality. Empirical model development and testing physical models are an important part of virtual testing. Considering the strategic tasks for this positions, there is a great potential to continue the work order. Responsibilities:
• Develop empirical models for powertrain system (engine and aftertreatment)
• Data analysis and post processing the results
• Set requirements for new powertrain models based on project needs
• Receive the powertrain models from external parties and run acceptance testing according to the project requirements
• Transfer data to different post processing tools e.g. Matlab
• Communicating the results and ideas in clear and structured way
• Collaborate with engine development projects and virtual testing to understand company needs and devise possible solutions
• Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends
• Optimize the working process toward project needs
Skills required:
• BSc or MSc degree in mechanical engineering or similar fields.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic multidisciplinary team Environment
• Highly experienced in Matlab, Simulink
• Experience in empirical engine and aftertreamnet modeling
• Experience with (any of) GT Power, Ricardo Wave, StarCD, AVL Fire or Coverge simulation software
• Experience with data visualization and post processing Tools
• Proficiency in programming languages e.g. Python
• Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
• Data-oriented personality
