We are looking for a new member to our Nordic team, working with predictive modelling in credit risk (scorecards), house valuation and other fields.
We are specifically looking for someone who likes to apply mathematical methods to distill data into insights and insights into better business decisions for our customers. In this role you will build and maintain our data-driven models and act as an analytical expert for the rest of the organisation.
UC's credit risk models help our customers predict future payment problems with a precision that is hard to beat anywhere in the world. This is partly thanks to our large database with unique insights into credit behavior, but also our long experience in this field. We would love to see you coming in with new eyes! Since our largest customers are banks, a major part of our product portfolio is targeted to this industry. To be able to continue delivering these world-class services, and to build completely new ones, we need you.
Your background
We are looking for a curious person who enjoys learning new things. You probably have a Master diploma that contains a fair amount of math and programming. Examples can be Statistics, Engineering, Applied Math or Economy with a large portion of math. You have recently graduated or have worked for a while and we will adapt the position to your background.
Most important traits and skills
- You are very curious
- You have very good analytical capacity and you are comfortable solving quantitative problems
- You are comfortable in using programming as a tool in problem solving
- You are able to explain complicated things on multiple levels
The perfect match
- Experience in programming SAS, Python, R, SQL in that order.
- Experience in predictive modelling and credit risk
- Experience in applying statistics to real-world problems
- Experience in machine learning and data science
