Yale Smart Residential, part of Assa Abloy, with offices a stone's throw from Malmö Central, has several exciting opportunities in R&D! With connected products in smart homes, such as Yale Doorman and Yale Linus, and several other smart locks, alarm systems and surveillance cameras, we continue to grow our development team in Malmö. Yale Smart Residential has a young, dynamic, global organization with development sites in Malmö, San Francisco, Seoul and Shanghai.
Right now we are looking for App developers (within iOS and Android) to further develop our global offering. We don't expect you to be an expert in programming language, or app development as long as you are keen to learn and passionate about developing a career within mobile app development!

The successful candidate will help to deliver new features and maintain the next generation of alarms and cameras, smart door locks or access services as part of one of our product development teams. This will involve working in a cross functional, product development team comprising of product management, backend developers, app developers, and other technical specialists scouting Malmo, Europe and into Silicon Valley. You will not only learn, but also you will be part of delivering real products used by consumers globally.

The Opportunity
The Mobile App Developer will work with the organization to maintain, update and evolve the critical part of the product offer and user experience - the mobile application...
Besides this, your key duties will include but are not limited to:
• Participate in mobile app (either android or iOS) development.
• Help to turn feature requirements into solution with consideration to scalability, modularity, robustness, uptime and security.
• Follow industry standard structures, principles, and processes.
• Build and maintain subject matter expertise within our server-side solutions.
• Work in a small team and be hands-on; coding, prototyping, etc.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following characteristics:
• A bachelor's degree/working towards to the end of a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)
• Demonstrable knowledge of either iOS or android development
• Knowledge of software development methods and toolchains
• An exceptional eye for detail, whilst understanding broader context
• An excellent team player but also able to contribute on an individual basis.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with ability to provide solutions on an individual basis.
• Must be inquisitive and show willingness to continuously improve and learn.
• Willing to work in an international environment, with regular travel within the EMEIA region.
