Verisure is a fast growing technology centric entrepreneurial organization, delivering a high end customer experience through our security brand. Since our current SDM Is moving on to another position internally, we are now looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced software development manager to our innovation center, located in Malmö, Sweden.
The Software development department at Verisure Innovation consists of about 80 people. Most of them are highly qualified software developers and software testers. The Software development department has a broad expertise within technology areas such as Java, databases, embedded systems and software testing.
The Software Development Department has grown from about 20 people 4 years ago to its current size.
Our challenge going forward is to further enhance our highly scalable, high-availability Software Platform with an ever richer functionality for the Smart Home. At the same time we will need to continuously release attractive applications for our customers and internal users. We will also need to support selected 3rd party developers using our Software Platform. To meet these challenges, we are planning to increase the number of people working with software development over the next few years.
The Software Development Manager reports to the CTO. As Software Development Manager you will have 4 line managers as well as some specialists (Configuration Management, Software Security, ?) reporting directly to you.
As the Software Development Manager you will:
• Have the responsibility for all personnel at the Software development department including competence development, matching skills to project needs, salary, recruitment etc.
• Have full budget and cost responsibility for the department.
We are looking for a person with a strong interest in leading and motivating people.
The successful candidate needs to have a strong technical background within the Software industry. Experience from complex networked systems or database-intensive systems would be beneficial.
As a person you are good at motivating your team members. You can set goals and communicate effectively with different people in the organizations. You enjoy working in an environment with quickly changing requirements but with a long-term vision.
Further, you have an ability to understand complex systems, find solutions and act together with your team members. Administrative skills end experiences from an expanding company are also valued.
