• develop tested ideas into financially and strategically viable concepts
• coach cross-functional resources and establish decision rights for team members that provide mission teams members with autonomy and decision empowerment to support fast execution of mission priorities
• ensure integration of cross-functional resources both within and across mission sub-teams
• collaborate closely with Concept team to ensure concept methodologies and frameworks are embedded consistently across missions, while ensuring new ideas coming from missions are shared with and documented by Concept team
• collaborate with Ingka Centres Service Organisation Domain Managers to compose cross-functional fit-for-purpose teams that work on chosen missions
• define, guide, monitor and ensure the delivery of missions
• manage stakeholders across IKEA and Ingka Centres to ensure successful mission delivery
• identify and proactively communicate the potential and need for follow up missions to the Commercial & Digital Domain Manager and Mission Enablement
• proactively identify resourcing needs and work with the Deputy to build mission sub-teams in an iterative manner
• lead diverse fit-for-purpose teams with a wide range of cross-functional capabilities
• collaborate with Service Organisation Domain Managers to allocate resources towards missions
• rapidly form and align teams with members from various backgrounds
• coach and develop the team and team members over the course of a mission
You have expert knowledge of:
• leading in change; convincing people and embracing changes, seizing opportunities, generating and challenging ideas, willing to challenge established views
• coordinating and managing large scale programmes with resources from across the IKEA group
• initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing a project
• understanding and learning from projects' challenges or failures in order to mobilize people around it and improve permanently
• how data and insights about customer interactions with IKEA can be translated into seamless solutions, and moreover, customer experiences
• managing a project and lead a team through collaborative efforts and optimized competence sharing, with adaptive planning, evolutionary development, continuous improvement, flexibility and rapid response to change
• how to identify and involve relevant stakeholders in a project, process or question to make things happen
• working in close cooperation with the customers
You have the capability to:

The Mission Leader manages large-scale, long-term, transformation initiatives that pursue customer-focused and future-oriented objectives with cross-functional fit-for-purpose teams. Furthermore, the Mission Leader develop tested ideas into viable and scalable concepts that drive Meeting Place visitation, profitability, and customer experience.
