hela Sverige FPC is a leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the whole system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packages, to algorithms and software for fingerprint recognition and applications on the target devices. Our R&D organization is growing to meet the demands from our customers and to expand the usage of our sensor products. In order to secure that our products continue to have the right quality we are looking for an additional development engineer to focus on the reliability of FPCs microelectronic packages.
The Role
You will be a part of the reliability team, within R&D Microelectronic Packaging group, which also consists of packaging development and coating development.
Typical work tasks can be reliability testing on semiconductor IC/packages/modules. You are expected to perform relevant reliability tests and failure analysis as needed. You will also support new package development in terms of reliability testing and prequalification.
You support the product development projects to reach mass production with:
• Planning of qualification according to project requirements
• Following up on qualification status for product development projects
• Internal and external test reports and documentation for customers
You adapt internal qualification plans to meet requirements from customers for new products. You are also responsible for keeping the qualification process plan up to date.
The role requires communication with all parts of the organization in terms of reliability support as well as communication with suppliers, outsourced testing houses and partners. International business trips might occur.
The work location is Gothenburg.
Your Background
• Microelectronic, chemistry or physics Masters degree, or equivalent
• Min. 3-5 years of microelectronic packaging work experience, practical experience within reliability testing is a plus
• Good knowledge of semiconductor packaging
• Good knowledge about reliability standards, eg. JEDEC and other industrial standards
• Fluent English in speaking and writing
• Knowledge in Chinese or other Asian language is a plus
In order to succeed in this role you need to be flexible and adjust to changing requirements. At the same time in this role you need to have a structured way of working to get the tasks done in time and correct order. You need to be comfortable working in a growing company, where you will be expected to assume considerable personal responsibility for your own activities and the companys success. This also requires you to be a team player who contributes to an open and positive atmosphere in the workplace.
