Job description
As an Application development Engineer you will be an important part of the global Pumpdim software supporting IS coding team with pumping knowledge at Metso in Sala. The main responsibility for application development engineer is pump application sizing development and support Pumpdim software tool, expert support to application and product support departments. Other responsibilities is:
* Execute and plan Pumpdim training Seminars.
* Execute advanced Pump application & Sizing seminars
* Application technology development and testing in cooperation with customers and other pumping technology experts.
* Wear and field testing for wear parts and materials optimization.
* Supporting Application and Product support departments on high end application technology
Close cooperation with systemdeveloper/internal or external and Application & Product Support departments
Qualifications
We strongly see that you have a bachelors degree within technical area, it is a merit to have knowledge in centrifugal pumps. You are a service oriented person with great drive and commitment and sense of details and order. In order to fit in the role, you have a great interest in technology as you see problem solving as something fun and fulfilling. You also like to work when you work with a team and you have the ability to remain calm during stressful situations where the workload can be high. Good communication skills in English is required. We see that you have good computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and basic understanding of software programming.
