Job Description
As a Metrology Technician you will be a key resource within New Product Introduction and Pre-Development projects. You will be responsible for measuring a wide range of parts and components and verifying their compliance to applicable drawings and specifications.Within your field of expertise you will develop and apply suitable methods for measuring various parts in Ericssons products using the equipment, tools and resources at PIM RBS Kumla. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining internal calibration routines for metrology instruments.
In your position you will interact globally as a member of a team that works closely with the Engineering, Supplier Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering and Design departments to ensure that delivered parts meet applicable specifications and requirements.
Qualifications
You have a Masters or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
A broad experience within engineering metrology is required where you have competence within form and location, interpreting drawings and specifications as well as calibration of hand instruments.Metrology processes are prepared by the Metrology Technician. Experience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS or equivalent is meritorious.We want you to be comfortable with both reading and speaking technical English and Swedish and it is of great importance that you understand, enjoy and accept cultural differences since you will be working with designers and engineers from different parts of the world.
You are self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge and are service minded since we are mainly working with design and production support!
