Atlas Copco Secoroc AB produces and develops our own carbide, we work with our steel suppliers in the development of special steels designed for rock drilling products.
Material Technology R&D seeks an engineer experienced in heat treatment and surface engineering, in the field of steel. In this position you will meet a technical challenge daily as you develop tomorrow's products.
We are looking for someone with 10 years experience in the field of steel and heat treatment both in theory and practice, preferably in a science position. Do you have good skills in microstructures, heat treatment processes, surface engineering and material properties, you have good prospects of success. Appropriate education is on Master level or higher in materials science or metallurgy process.
To be successful in this position and our company you should be able to take initiative and have excellent skills in cooperation since you will have a lot of contacts both on different levels in the organization and also external in forms of other companies, universities and institutes. We also appreciate your flexibility and your ability to work towards objectives. Since you will be working with deadlines you should also be comfortable working under pressure with a numerous of tasks simultaneously.
One requirement is spoken and written command of English, which is our corporate language. Preferable is also both spoken and written command of Swedish. Another requirement is a Drivers license, level B according to Swedish standards.
You will be placed in Fagersta and the working hours are daytime with the possibility to use flexi time.
