You will join a group of dedicated, hands-on professionals who share the vision to deliver high quality merchandise which supports brand strategies and contributes to our customers' success.Except for playing a vital role in our product development projects, you will be responsible for leading different product segments within hard products (i.e. accessories, electronic equipment, bags, toys etc.). The team of dedicated purchasers jointly shares responsibility for a growing number of concepts within the areas of hard items, soft items and collectables.Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal sourcing of suppliers for segments within hard products/collectablesActive member in product development projectsNegotiation with focus on key values, total cost, quality and deliveryDrive sustainability and CSR throughout the supply chainDevelop, implement and execute on segment strategiesChallenge and evaluate performance of suppliersDrive both robustness and innovation in our assortment to deliver on our clients' offer and Volvo's brand valuesOrder handling, supplier relations and system administrationDrive improvements together with teamCompetence Profile & QualificationsIn order to succeed in this role we believe you have a business oriented mindset, positive approach and enjoy challenges. You like driving your own work and taking initiatives, with a team player attitude. You possess both formal qualifications and an attitude that fits with running a small business in a large corporate structure.We believe you have/are:Several years of experience from global sourcing and negotiation from relevant industryA strong interest in the product and a drive for sourcing and developing new innovative brand building productsStructured, organized and experienced from working with projects and deadlinesExperienced in CSR and sustainability certifications, systems and processesA can do mindset and analytical skillsUniversity Degree in Business, Supply chain or equivalentExcellent communication and networking skillsFluent in English and Swedish, another language is a plusSkilled in MS office, experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX and PLM is a plusIn prioritizing candidates, we will pay attention to matching your profile to team culture, experience, gender and spirit. The successful candidate will have shown a winning attitude and great persona in combination with a strong track record and references. Location & TimelineThe position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
