Aim of work
The candidate is expected to do Kernel and/or memory management programming (Linux and/or Hypervisor-level) in the area of memory management for high-performance computer architecture. Focus is on software support for a novel compression subsystem showing very promising characteristics, and parts of the work will involve the interaction between system software and novel hardware mechanisms. In addition, the work includes integration and evaluation work related to customer engagements.
The group consists of experts in computer architecture, performance modeling, ASIC design, and low-level software. The applicant is expected to enhance the team regarding system software from a kernel and memory management perspective.
Applicants
• A M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or similar experience.
• Extensive experience in programming in (but not limited to) C/C++ and Python
• Experience in kernel-level software or memory management
• Good skills in spoken and written English are mandatory, since the team is international and all material is in English.
