Trains and evaluates staff on equipment operations, preventative maintenance procedures, and new equipment orientations.
Maintains Database of machine inventorty, service intervals,repair history and exchange dates.
Consult with Group Golf Course Manager on Machine exchange program
Maintain relationships with machine suppliers and negotiate with parts and materials suppliers.
Ensures all workshops are maintained and operated in accordance with Updated Health and safety
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, Board of Directors and Group Golf Course Manager.
Diagnoses and repairs mechanical trouble in small engines such as fuel, electrical, transmission, steering, braking and hydraulic systems.
Lubricates, inspects, overhauls and tests powered hand mowers and riding mowers such as triplex mowers, gang mowers, rotary blade mowers, etc., as well as chain saws, verticutters, power hedge clippers, rototillers and aerators.
Changes oil and filters; repacks bearings and bushings; replaces gears, rings, bearings, magnetos, plugs, seals, carburetors, gaskets, connecting rods, pumps and other parts.
Maintains inventory and equipment maintenance recordkeeping system.
Sharpens and grinds lawn and gang mower blades, reels and bed knives; performs related alignments.
Operates golf course maintenance equipment, and other tasks typical of lower classifications as required in the management of the golf course; maintains parts inventory required for overall golf course maintenance.
Under the direction of the Group Golf Course Manager, suggests and implements training programs for safe equipment operations and maintenance.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Ability to diagnose, repair and maintain small internal combustion engines related to golf course equipment.
Ability to maintain an accurate inventory and equipment maintenance system.
Ability to maintain effective and productive work relationships.
Ability to work weekends and holidays as required performing golf course maintenance functions and emergencies.
Knowledge of IT systems and Databases
Ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include walking or standing for extended periods of time and operating assigned equipment and vehicles.
