With equipment and software from Optisort it's possible to not only efficiently sort waste products and materials into fine-grained fractions but also to collect information about the sorted material. Our customers are recyclers and waste management companies. Currently we offer systems for waste battery sorting.
We are now looking for an innovative and creative mechatronics engineer who will join our hardware team.
To our mechatronics team we are looking for a new brilliant team member. A creative and innovative person with broad knowledge in automation and mechatronics and expertise in areas such as Sensors, PLC, Low level embedded systems programming, Machine vision or material handling. You will work together with Amir, Farshid and John to further develop the technology in our first product, The Optisort Battery Sorter. You will participate in research projects using new sensors, develop new efficient way to convey waste materials and implement current solutions in new customer projects. This year you will be heavily involved in prototyping in our newest product development project - intelligent sorting of e-waste.
Your immediate todo-list:
Join the team and take on the tasks you are besting
Participate in adaption and installation of equipment in our customers systems
Design new prototypes
Research components and new products (internet search and fair visits)
Work closely with our software developers, manufacturing and product manager for battery sorting
Necessary skills
The person we are looking for have a Bachelors or Masters degree in automation or mechatronics or possibly, in applied mechanics or electronics. You must be innovative, creative, willing to work hard and able to take responsibility of the outcome of your work. Optisort is a startup and your job is multidiciplinary. That means that no one can stay within rigid work descriptions but have to accept to do all kinds of stuff one might not expect:-) You don't have to speak Swedish but should speak English more or less fluently.
The work includes travelling. Not regularly but as we get more and more customers trips within Europe and to countries in Asia and the Americas will be more frequent.
