Our Product Concepts & New Ideas team is now looking for a Mechanics Engineer for product concept and idea development within our business of video products.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Mechanical and industrial design is a vital part in concept design; it gives stakeholders and others an opportunity to develop and give relevant feedback on our ideas. As part of the Product Concepts & New Ideas team you will have the role of doing the first mechanical design of our product concepts on different levels. Everything from sketches and appearance models to detailed design work. Supporting the team with different mechanical test setups is also tasks that you can expect.
You will have an important role in the overall creative process of defining and refining new ideas and product concepts for Axis future video products.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that you have an open mind and an easy going attitude. As teamwork is crucial for Axis, you enjoy working close to your colleagues in a team oriented environment, sharing your knowledge and ideas with others, contributing to a good team spirit.
You also have:
• A master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• A couple of years of experience within product development
• Good communication skills – both verbally and in writing
It is also meriting if you have knowledge within technical/industrial design and experience of idea and concept development.
THE PRODUCT CONCEPTS & NEW IDEAS TEAM
Product Concepts & New Ideas mission is to create new features and concepts through novel technology within our current business of video products. To do this in an efficient way we are a fairly self-contained unit with a broad set of competencies with the ability to design and implement new product prototypes. The purpose is to get a broad understanding of a new product idea before entering product development.
We collaborate with Product Managers, Business Development Managers as well as different disciplines within Axis R&D organization.
