In Skellefteå, we're developing our hardware to our LiDAR system and we're specialized within opto-mechanics, mechanics and electronics. To our aid we also have a modern and fully equipped testing facility.

What you'll do?
As a Mechanics Designer and Motor Specialist you will be part of our LiDAR hardware design team, and your main focus will be the technical aspects for the brushless electrical motors with integrated encoders used in Veoneer automotive LiDAR products. It's a challenging task and you will be responsible for specifying the requirements for the motors and be engaged in and drive the technical issues in dialogue with the suppliers. You will also be responsible for specifying important parameters and test cases, perform tests of the motors and evaluate the test results.

What you'll bring:
To succeed in this role, we think that you need to have:

• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent working experience
• At least two years ' experience in similar position
• Experience of brushless electrical motors with integrated encoder
• Experience of specifying and analyzing motor noise, balancing and vibration

• Some motor controller experience

• Some experience in 3D CAD
• Working proficiency in English

If you have competence within electronics or experience from the automotive industry, it will be considered a merit.
