hela Sverige Are you an engineer with a couple of years' experience within mechanical or electrical design willing to take on a new technical challenge? There is now an opportunity for you to jump into the acoustical area at HVDC plants department.
ABB's High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) business unit headquartered in Ludvika - part of the group's Power Grids division - currently has a vacancy for an engineer within our plant design team. You will be part of the plant design department responsible for plant related studies and base solutions for mechanical and electrical design.
Noise coming from electrical stations is a delicate subject and your responsibilities will be to make sure the HVDC plants fulfils customer demands when it comes to noise distribution and that we have a cost effective design. You will be performing noise study for the plant using simulation tools. Tasks include setting the noise demands on apparatuses, come up with noise mitigation measures like walls and enclosures or suggestions of redesigning of layouts in order to meet demands. You will be involved in entire project phase from the beginning in the pre-tender phase till the very end. You will also take part in the final measurement verification that the station is meeting the initial requirements in the specifications which means travels are part of the job. We are now looking for you who would like to strengthen our team within plant design.
This position offers a wide range of tasks and will give you the possibility to oversee the entire project phase of an HVDC delivery. Fluency in English is required and knowledge in other languages is advantageous.
You are an engineer with at least a couple of years work experience within the area of power plants, substations or equal. Possibly you have experience from designing high voltage products mechanically or electrically.
