What will you do as our Mechanical Test Engineer?
The Mechanical Test Engineer is a new role within our organization, and you will be part in designing our way of working and how to manage the execution of projects. As our Mechanical Test Engineer, you will be part of developing our next generation products and the related tests to these products. In co-operation with our development team, you will secure that our products are ready to be operational in our customers global environment.
Work tasks & responsibilities
Define and develop test plans for mechanical tests
Define, develop, design and build/order test equipment
Create test- and verification reports
Analyse and validate test results, and assess reports from 3rd party company
Execute tasks in accordance with project scope and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders
Perform root cause analysis and suggest/test proposals for implementation
Keep equipment operational by coordination of maintenance and repair service
Example tasks
Design test equipment for component or sub-assembly testing. This includes sourcing said equipment and making sure it performs according to expectations. You will be supporting a team of skilled engineers, challenging their solutions regarding quality, safety and reliability.
As we are updating our ways-of-working and tool chains to provide a great environment for product development and verification, the role is responsible for making sure that we fulfill requirements on our products from a testing point of view, and that we fully cover and pass tests needed to launch a product. The position as Tester has a very central role in the projects with planning and executing tests, as well as giving input for continuous development of testing methods, specifications and processes.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar work experience. Other qualifications are:
Knowledge of mechanical CAD tools, especially SolidWorks
Experience writing test plans, test- and verification reports for mechanical tests
Experience of design/develop and build test equipment
Proficient in English, Swedish would be highly appreciated
