The Mechanical Supervisor main job purpose is to lead and co-ordinate on site and to provide mechanical expertise during the installation, in collaboration with the Electrical Supervisor and finishing phase in order to prepare the Wind Farm for commissioning. To achieve this, all installation and finishing activities are to be executed in a safe manner considering the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role can be based in either Sweden or Finland, you must enjoy travel within the Nordic region and working away from home as this role operates on a 4 week rotation, 3 weeks working away from home and 1 week rest at home.

Specifically, the Mechanical Supervisor will:
Support the Quality Manager on technical non-conformities and to ensure compliance with 'Management of Change' requirements for reporting, developing solutions and implementation;
Support the Site Managers for Quality and incoming goods inspections;
Assist the Site Managers, Quality Manager and Civil Project Engineer on pre-erection anchor cage and foundation checks;
Support the Site Managers and Quality Manager with collating and checking for completeness, before releasing the Pre-erection documentation, Statutory Inspections and reports.
Collate the necessary information for reporting and managing non conformity reports and Incidents in UPVISE/Service Now or the prevailing software management tool;
Maintain close contact with Quality Manager for ordering and tracking missing parts and Requisition Notes (RNs);
Resolving quality deviations to ensure not only a smooth handover to the customer but also a smooth operation over the Wind Turbine lifetime. To achieve this, all installation and finishing activities are to be executed in a safe manner considering the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
Provide ad-hoc training to the site team and subcontractors;
Where applicable, responsible lead for defining the FGR locations, installation and operation before Bottom section installation;
Where applicable, responsible for leading the Scruton Coil installation and operation when installing on the top section


Skills
Completed vocational training in Mechanics /Mechatronics or similar field
Proficiency with Health and Safety procedures/ methods such as electrical safety, fall protection awareness, basic understanding of hazardous materials
Familiarity with several technologies such as Mechanical & rotating systems, basic understanding of hydraulic systems
Familiarity with general procedures such as Mechanical installation and finishing, testing of mechanical installations, quality management
Familiarity with several tools such as Mechanical measuring tools (e.g. digital calliper), Hydraulic torquing/ tensioning tools (e.g. HyTorc, ITH)
Proficient computer skills utilizing MS Office basic programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Good communication skills in English language (spoken and written), an advantage if you know one of the Nordic languages (Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian)
Physical requirements include the ability to climb a WT 180 meters high or taller, under variable climate conditions without adverse effects
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and engineers
Able to work in or lead a team
Systematic problem-solving and safety orientated behaviour
Strong personal planning & organisation skills
The position has a high travel requirement, domestically and/or internationally
Capability to comprehend and adapt to rapidly changing technologies


Experience
2 years of experience in working with Wind Turbines.
Experienced in working with crane operations (rigging and lifting)
Native level Finnish or Swedish speaker, fluent in English
Excellent knowledge of the local regulations and legal requirements
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a team and self-organized
Excellent computer skills (MS office, SAP preferable)
Willingness to travel and stay on the construction site for longer periods of time
