Alfa Laval have just partnered with Malta Inc, with an innovative process for storing energy in molten salt. We will develop new, highly efficient heat exchangers for this process. We're looking for a skilled simulation engineer to join our project team!

About the jobYou will be part of a small and dynamic team that drive an exciting and innovative project. Your mission will be to optimize the heat exchanger design through performing simulations and analyses.
Key tasks will include to:
Perform mechanical calculations for pressure vessel code compliance. Support in discussions with 3rd parties on code interpretation
Perform FEA/FEM analysis for transient modes (thermomechanical stresses) and fatigue lifetime predictions in ANSYS
Perform CFD simulations for flow distribution and optimization
Participate to design validation test protocols and tests. Possibly carry out and/or be responsible for carrying out some tests
What you knowYou are a mechanical engineer by training, or similar work experience, with experience from FEA/FEM, mechanical calculations and preferably also CFD analysis. You have spent time as a simulation engineer in projects requiring an iterative design approach and prototype testing (eg R&D), where you have ideally also been part of defining test needs. You are used to being part of a project team and consider multiple perspectives and design factors.
The role will include 20-25 days of travelling.
