We are now looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Fixed Domes Mechanics Team within the Products & CTO organization. The position is at Axis HQ in Lund.

You will belong to a team with driven, friendly, and team-oriented colleagues within the mechanical engineering department. You will belong and contribute to a great team.
You will do a lot of your daily work in projects where the project team consists of different functions and competencies. In the project team, you 'll be the expert representing and working on the mechanical design.
In your work, you will also meet and work together with product managers, project managers, line managers, and engineers from other departments and competencies.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will help us to develop some of our most technically advanced cameras. In the projects, you, together with a couple of designers, drive the mechanical development from concept study to mass production. In the team, you work closely with electronics, software, and many other internal functions such as quality, production, and purchasing. To optimize the production of the design, you also have close contact with our suppliers around the world by phone/email and sometimes through travel.
At the end of the project, you will be an expert on "your" product and support production and aftermarket for the entire life of the product. This allows you to grow as an engineer and understand the whole of how our products are used and produced.
MERITING COMPETENCE
* Fine mechanics
* Design for Mass production
* Good knowledge of at least one 3D-CAD system, preferably Creo
* Molded construction (injection molding, die casting)
* Construction of cosmetic surfaces
* Construction of optical element
* Communicative
Fluent in Swedish and English fluently in speech and writing.
