This is an exciting and varied role within a small, dynamic multi-country team. The successful candidate will need to be open minded, flexible, self-starting with a proven track record of problem-solving and strong teamwork. The role is to provide technical leadership in mechanical and manufacturing engineering for the contract manufacturing organisations (CMOs) that build the products.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include providing documentation and manufacturing support to CMOs associated with safety, manufacturing and quality methods, tooling, and equipment. Perform root cause investigations, in collaboration with service colleagues, following customer complaints and determine how to resolve issues and implement improvements to eliminate failure modes. Proactively initiate new processes and methods that will reduce product cost and/or improve product quality.
Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
Work with Production Associates to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.
Ensuring regulatory compliance through Validation & Verification. Responsible for determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution and final analysis and acceptance.
Monitor and improve productivity, while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality and cost-conscious manner
Troubleshoot production and packaging equipment
Possibilities for hands-on testing and development at workbench in our dedicated test area and laboratory environment.
Provide Technical support
Co-ordination of manufacturing releases
Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals
Work with suppliers and CMOs to drive LEAN manufacturing implementation
Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas.
Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree and proven experience or Associates Degree and significant experience or High School diploma with significant experience in production and/or engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience
Understanding of IT QA and testing procedures
Good analytical and planning skills
Experience in 3D CAD design
Work within ERP structures
Understand the "from drawing to shelf" procedure
Fluent in English (Swedish also preferred)
Desired Qualifications:
M.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience
Demonstrated ability to identify & implement best practices.
Demonstrated ability to perform with high levels of ambiguity
Experience of project driven deliverables.
Use of Creo Cad and Windchill/PDMlink data handling.
Use of MyWorkshop or other PDM systems.
Knowledge of MD/EMC/LVD/ UL/IEC WEEE/RoHS regulations/standards and how they apply to designs.
