We are now looking for a Mechanical Engineer Power & Signal Distribution Systems!
Description
The E/E Team, that you will be part of, is incorporated in a bigger unit inside the Technical Development Organization. You will part of a team of Engineers, with primary responsibility for the wiring harness development within Power & Signal distribution.
An Engineer PASD HV primarily collaborates internally with other engineers, technical specialists and project management. Externally with suppliers and is involved in all phases of a car project. You will be an important player within the development of existing architecture platform and upcoming platform.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
- Be a component owner for all mechanical components (Plastics, metal and rubber)
- Responsible to develop together with development supplier all required mechanical components to secure harness installation.
- Support development of wiring harness on system and component level for existing project and future projects.
- Responsible to deliver all mechanical components within wiring harnesses according to project milestones and development process.
- Working in close cooperation within our PASD-team, Development supplier, Mechanical Integration team and all component interface.
- Writing technical requirement, develop processessecure implementation
- Take a leading part in routing & packaging of harness in the vehicle
- Responsibility for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures that concern PASD.
- Leading technical communication with suppliers through the complete product development lifecycle.
- Identifying opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost.
- Evaluating the feasibility of new proposals and products.
- Establishing and maintaining internal and external networks with PASD expertise.
- Leading analysis of designs such as FMEA, FTA etc.
- Providing input to best practice design solutions.
- Support mentoring and training activities.
- Anchoring the assignment's decisions, development and status with the responsible line management.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience from Power distribution systems and connectors in the automotive industry, minimum 2 years.
- Experience in Cad modelling/Drawings in NX.
- Fluent in English both spoken and written
- Driver license B

NEVS is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
