Visual Act is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in Strength/mechanics of materials and 3D CAD.We develop and manufacture advanced technology for the entertainment industry,as a designer and product developer at Visual Act you will developour stage automation products as well as designing theater decks and solutions for television shows.
We want to create powerful theater experiences and spectacular TV-shows, as a Mechanical Engineer you will create the illusion of the impossible and work with everything that takes place behind the scenes and in the border between technology and scenography. Our systems get physical objects like cameras, decorations and even people to move three-dimensional on scenes all over the world! Visual Act has had several prestigious assignments, ranging from Celine Dion in Las Vegas to Eurovision Song Contestand the Olympics in Sotji.
About the role
We offer an Engineering role beyond the usual! The role as a mechanical engineer includes everything from mechanical construction of our products, customized solutions for individual shows, also the production base for theater decorations. Much of the problem solving is cross-border between different competencies, not rarely in the productions environment. You will be able to give the product your own touch.
Together, we will see your work emerge as soon as it has left the printer.
As a Mechanical Engineer you will take great responsibility throughout your project from start to finish, and work closely with our customers, suppliers and colleagues. As a person you are a fast learner and if you want to work with automation and problem solving, you will like it here.
Your background
• Master of engineering or equivalent, perhaps with a focus on construction or strength theory.
• Independent work in 3D CAD, first-hand SolidWorks.
• Experience of strength/mechanics of materials.
It would be great if you have..
• Experience within mechatronics
• Experience in verification and quality work.
• Experience in automation and/or regulatory engineering
