Philips Mammography Solutions in Solna is part of a global organization that develops, produces and sells Digital Mammography equipment to hospitals. In Solna we stretch across the entire business and have marketing, R&D and production in-house. The strategy is to provide integrated solutions for breast cancer care. The product portfolio consists of a unique digital mammography solution based on photon-counting technology that enables excellent image quality with reduced X-ray radiation dose.

You will work in our innovative environment as a Mechanical Engineer. The development is driven in cross-functional and international teams. Your responsibility will be to participate in the development as well as in the life cycle management of x-ray system for digital mammography based photon counting technique. You will have involvement in all phases of mechanism and machine design, including working with new development projects, manufacturing engineering and life cycle management.

Key Areas of responsibility:
Identify solutions and design of mechanical systems.
Create concept designs, mechanism design, vendor interactions and material selection.
CAD design of concepts and components.
Responsible for prototyping in a lab environment, measuring results and transferring and presenting these results in an effective manner.
Establish sub system requirements that meet design specifications and requirements.
Possess ownership for change orders and make sure they are implemented.
Qualifications:
Relevant University education with excellent grades.
3-5 years of experience from regulatory industry such as Med tech or Defense.
Strong knowledge in different manufacturing processes.
Used to work with design of moving mechanisms and components.
Experience in design for manufacturing, DFM, and design for assembly, DFA.
Accustomed with using CAD and PLM tools for design.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and Swedish, verbal and in written.
As a person you are curious, outgoing and result oriented with ability of driving to completion.
