What you'll do as a Mechanical Engineer:
As a mechanical engineer at Axis you will be responsible for the mechanical design in your product which includes design of the product, create prototypes, communicate with suppliers, verify the product, prepare the product for mass production and more. You are a part of the project all the way from concept phase until the product is delivered to the market. The duration of a project is normally from 6 months to 2 years.
In our project teams we work closely together with electronical engineers, software engineers and other internal functions such as quality, production, and sourcing. You will also be working in close collaboration with our suppliers worldwide to ensure the product can be produced in a smart and sustainable way.
As we are building a new team in Linköping, some functions will in the beginning be located at our headquarters in Lund.

You are an experienced mechanical engineer who is intrigued by mechanics, has a huge technical interest and are excited about product development from first idea to when you stand with the product in your hand.
You are stimulated by challenges and love to solve problems together with others. You like to challenge old truths to be part of a creative team that delivers extraordinary products.
As we are building up a new department you will be part of an exciting journey in creating the environment and tools needed for the mechanical engineers.
It is beneficial if you have experience from working with product development from early stages of conceptual design, through the design and verification phase.
The following would also be great merits:
* Experience from CREO/windchill
* Design for manufacturing (Diecast, injection molding, sheet metal)
* Design for production
* Prototype manufacturing. Hands-on work and 3D printing.
