What you'll do as a Mechanical Engineer:
As a mechanical engineer at Axis you will be responsible for the mechanical design in a project which includes design of the product, creating prototypes, communicating with suppliers, verifying the product, preparing the product for mass production and more. You are part of the project all the way from concept phase until the product is delivered to the market. The duration of a project is normally from 6 months to 2 years.
In our project teams we work closely together with electronical engineers, software engineers and other internal functions such as quality, production, and sourcing, some located in Lund. You will also be working in close collaboration with our suppliers worldwide to ensure the product can be produced in a smart and sustainable way.
Our hardware development team in Linköping has just started and you will be part of the journey of a fast-growing organization with a start up feeling within a large and stable company. The team works with both updated versions of present products and development of new types of products in fields where Axis wishes to expand its portfolio.

You are an experienced mechanical engineer who is intrigued by mechanics, has a huge technical interest and is excited about product development from first idea to when you stand with the product in your hand.
The following would also be great merits:
• Experience from CREO/windchill
• Experience of design for manufacturing, with focus on diecasting, injection molding and sheet metal processing
• Experience of design for assembly
