Mechanical Engineer
HemoCue develops, produces and markets medical diagnostic products that are both fast and easy to use. We are currently forming a new product team in the R&D department and are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in plastics to work at the head office in Ängelholm.

You will meet enthusiastic colleagues who take pride in making a difference through products that can truly impact other people's lives. You will get opportunity to work in the field of medical technologies, where knowledge sharing and professional respect makes it both fun and meaningful to go to work.

Your work assignments

As a Mechanical Engineer at HemoCue you will be part of a dynamic team in the R&D department and you will be involved in several projects in parallel. You will have overall responsibility for the mechanical design and you will contribute to the "look and feel" of the products. You will work with existing products in addition to developing new products. Much of the work is with different plastics.

This is an essential role in the execution of an analyzer development project. The position gives good insight into the development of medical devices as well as state of the art photometric devices.

Your background

To be the analytical and systematic Mechanical Engineer that we seek, we believe that you have at least 5 years of experience in mechanical construction and design preferably from the Med-Tech industry. You hold a MSc degree in mechanics, physics or other relevant field and you are an experienced user of CAD design tools. To be independent in this role, we believe you have experience from relevant products and knowledge in plastic design and selection similar to HemoCue analyzers and/or cuvettes. It is a great advantage to be familiar with standards and regulations relevant for IVD and medical devices.

Since all written communication is in English you must be able to communicate fluently in English, both orally and in writing. Swedish is beneficial but not a must.

Your personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is analytical and recognizes the importance of attention to details. We believe solving problems and finding innovative solutions materializes through working in an organized way and we apply LEAN in everything we do. Therefore we expect that you like to work in a systematic way, that you are focused and have the discipline to follow procedures. To be successful in this role you have to apply critical thinking and sound judgement in your daily work.
