Responsibilities
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design and build new biorefinery processes. You will be a part of an interesting journey to development new processes from conceptual design to pilot operation and further to commercial scale in close cooperation with the R&D team. You will work with multi-functional teams to achieve project goals as a project leader as well as a project member with your expertise.
Do note - while this position is with our Biomaterials R&D Organization, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer. You work in close cooperation with our material specialists as the expert in process & machine design, flow dynamic and pipe and pressure vessel design.

Tasks include:
• Perform process design, development and implementation of capital projects including machine installation
* Prioritize and develop processes based on critical needs
* Evaluate current processes and recommend new ideas and techniques to ensure project success
* Develop and maintain process related documents
* Provide support and mentorship to team to meet daily work demands
* Develop projects within allotted timelines and budget
* Ensure in compliance with company and industry standards both in Europe and US.

Qualifications
• Master of Science in mechanical engineering plus a few years' experience from process development or process design
* You have proven experience in project planning and management as well as experience from investment projects
* You have capability to recommend improvements and redesigns for equipment and process to meet safety, quality, production and cost goals
* You have good knowledge in AutoCAD and 3D models
* You have strong customer and business focus and are proficient in English. Proficiency in Swedish and Finnish are a benefit
* We need a creative teammate who is communicative, analytical and innovative.
