hela Sverige As a mechanical engineer you will be responsible for the design of the camera and vision system. You will have many contact areas, both internally and externally, with international clients and suppliers, as well as colleagues in other departments. Among Veoneer's customers can be mentioned Mercedes, BMW and Audi. You will be part of a small tight team where everyone is involved in the daily work and jointly conducts ongoing projects.
Your work assignment includes design of enclosures of electronics and camera systems for car applications, requirements management, supplier contacts, and be driving in further development of methodology and processes within the mechanical department.
To succeed in the role, we prefer that you are a civil engineer or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, with a few years of experience as a designer of products containing electronics, optics and mechanics.
We also believe that you have some of the following applied knowledge in mechanical engineering in the automotive industry:
* Catia V5 3-D Modeling and 2-D Drawing
• Knowledge of materials properties
• Design of details in aluminum and plastic
• Tolerance Analysis
• Mechanical design with regard to EMC characteristics
• DFM, design for manufacturing
• Thermal management
• FEM analysis
This role requires a good planning ability and a high quality awareness. As a person, you are systematic and structured, initiative-oriented and able to lead your work forward. Furthermore, you are required to be responsive and have good cooperation ability with your colleagues.
