Have you ever considered developing your technical experience to write technical literature for a premium automotive brand? You may have experience in using technical documentation within a dealership environment or you may be looking to expand your role and experience. If so we would be interested in talking to you!
The main purpose of the role is to develop service workshop repair methods and accompanying labour times using a combination of CAD and actual vehicle layouts. In doing so ensure both cost effective and achievable repairs are developed to suit the customers service repair network.
M ain Responsibilities Where appropriate liaise with customers aftersales department Utilise CAD data and software tools Interpret both CAD data and technical specifications Using a structured authoring environment devise easy to follow repair procedures Create graphics to accompany repair procedures Develop appropriate labour times Carry out on-vehicle validation of major repairs
Our new colleague We are looking for a skilled mechanical engineer, fluent in English, electrical skills is a merit. Ability to write and describe methods, supporting in requirement setting for FG3 (electrical) is crucial. CAD knowledge a must, since we are increasing our virtual method verification/validation.
Qualifications Knowledge of modern vehicle systems and components Good skills in both spoken and written English IT and computer literate (Microsoft suite) Experience working with content management systems, xml editors is a merit Capable of managing and prioritising workload and working to deadlines Able to identify areas for improvement within the finished material, and the processes used to create it
