About the role
As a Vehicle Manager, you will be central in developing customized defence vehicles - from early customer needs and concept studies to final verification and delivery.
You will work closely with customers and be part of a supportive, cross functional team that includes colleagues from design, production, purchasing, sales and body builders. Together, you ensure that our products meet high expectations in reliability, performance and functionality.
This role suits you who enjoy combining technical problem solving with collaboration and a clear customer focus.
What you will do
Use Scania's modular toolbox and your problem solving skills to develop smart, value creating solutions.
Work in close partnership with designers, sales teams and international customers.
Be part of an engaged team that collaborates, shares knowledge and supports each other.
Contribute to continuous improvement and help identify and address challenges early in the process.
Who we think you are
You are someone who takes responsibility, are self driven, and enjoy bringing new ideas forward. You value teamwork and believe that strong collaboration leads to the best results. Curiosity, structure and an interest in learning are as important to us as your technical background.
It is a plus if you have:
A university or college degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent experience.
Experience in chassis composition or working with complete vehicle systems.
Fluent English, spoken and written.
We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and perspectives - diversity strengthens our team and the solutions we build.
Security and eligibility requirements
Because this role involves development of defence related technology, certain legal and security conditions apply:
It is preferable that you are a citizen of a NATO member state to meet security clearance and export control regulations.
You should feel comfortable working with military products and defence applications, as this is a core part of the position.
About us
We are a diverse and collaborative team that values openness, trust and work life balance. We support each other professionally and personally, and we enjoy working together towards common goals.
Every project starts with specific customer needs from markets worldwide. Here, you will be part of combining new technologies with proven Scania solutions to create vehicles that make a real difference in demanding environments.
Traton Offers
We offer a dynamic, flexible workplace with hybrid work options, including Scania Sergel and Midway hubs. With a structured development plan and courses, TRATON Group R&D supports your career growth both locally and internationally. Benefits include wellness allowance, bonus, flexible hours, and company car leasing. We also host events for employees and their families, and Stockholm residents enjoy direct access to Södertälje via Scania Job express buses for an easy commute to Södertälje.
Application
Your application should include your CV and relevant certificates (no cover letter required).
Screening and interviews are conducted continuously. Logical and personality tests may be part of the recruitment process, and a background check will be required for this role.
We look forward to your application!
