CG Drives & Automation develops solutions to control and monitor electric motors, offering energy savings, reduced maintenance and improved productivity. The company offers complete drive systems based on a range of standard products and dedicated solutions, including AC drives and soft starters. The target industries are Power generation, Water/wastewater, Process industries, Mining, Infrastructure and machine building.
The Channels to market are End-Users, System Integrators, OEM and Distributors.
CG Drives & Automation has 200 employees in Sweden, Germany, Netherlands and India with the head office in Helsingborg, Sweden and with a turnover of approximately 500 MSEK.
We are looking for a mechanical engineer who wants to work with design and development in products for power conversion or motion control in the power range 10kW to >1MW connected to the low voltage grid.
Together with the R&D team you will have the chance to develop and design complex, but cost efficient products. The designs are made in SolidWorks, and you will develop parts in plastic, sheet metal, as well as other materials. Our main products are frequency inverters and softstarters, therefore some knowledge about encapsulation of electrical equipment needed.

Education and experience
You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and have 3-5 years of experience in product development, product maintenance or project management.
We believe you have the ability to obtain a detailed understanding of how the products are built up and to work with their structures in SAP.
To be successful we believe that you have good theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical design, have designed plastic parts as well as sheet metal constructions.
As a person you are dedicated, innovative, structured, analytic and independent. You also need to have high communication skills. The position requires good knowledge in English.
