• The engineer secures the quality of the project regarding mechanical aspect
• Review of the checklist before each checkpoint/milestone
• Mechanics related issues during concept work.
• Safety features related to mechanics to ensure functionality and safety.
• Legal inspection is carried out and documented.
• Follow-up of installations.
• Technical issues are harmonized with other engineers within the department.
• Project issues are coordinated with the shop representatives in the project team and the line organization in applicable cases.
• Secure requirements regarding takeover of the mechanical area according to current routine.Secure the mechanical functions as part of the complete project delivery.
• Ensure that requirements regarding documentation for the discipline are included in RFQ.
• Review technical content of the documentation and it meets the agreed level.
• Review documentation.

Qualifications
• Knowledge of CATIA or SolidWorks, CAD competence 2D / 3D
• Team Center
• Applicable standards (SDB-Standard Data Base)
• Machine directive 2006/42 EG and applicable harmonized SS EN ISO standards within area of expertise
• Basic process final assembly shop knowledge
• Body handling
• Basic ergonomics
• Documentation system knowledge
