Do you have a technical interest and is a determined person who is eager to learn and develop?
The R&D Department for Material Handling is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to the Mechanics, Structure and Analysis group. The team is in an exciting and challenging phase; continuing to build skills and experience supporting the production of existing equipment and working on the development of the new product range.

Your mission
As Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for fatigue affected structures where knowledge of mechanics, strength calculations, welded constructions and casted parts in materials is essential. It is an outward-looking job with many contacts, both internally and externally.
The machines we produce are used in underground mines all around the world, normally in very harsh environments with high demands on safety, reliability, and productivity. The Scooptram (Loader) covers a range from 7 to 18 tone lifting capacity and the Minetruck covers sizes from 42 to 65 tone payload capacity. The range includes mainly diesel driven-, but also Electric/Battery driven machines with technology level from simple to fully automated machines.
You will work on different types of assignments, for example base development, new development projects, product maintenance and customer orders. Your duties will include requirement specification, calculation, design, testing and documentation.

Your profile
For this role we require that you have a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or the equivalent knowledge through experience). It is a plus if you have practical experience in engineering and working with modern CAD systems, we are using Creo.
You must be fluent in written and spoken English language. It's meritorius if you can speak and write fluently in swedish.
Experience in design of construction machinery is meritorious, as well as calculation skills and proficiency in Ansys.
As a person you are a self-driven and communicative team player. We believe that you are proactive, analytical, and used to taking full responsibility for your work. This is an opportunity for you to grow and collect experience within mechanical engineering.

This position is located in Örebro, Sweden.
