Motorola Mobility in Linköping is one of the premier units in the world for the design and development of advanced IP-based set-top boxes. The Hardware Group's responsibilities include
the development of electronics and firmware (boot loader); mechanical engineering; creation of production test systems and environmental / agency testing for the IPTV STBs.
Scope Of Responsibilities / Expectations:
The Mechanical Engineer is involved in the entire process, from concept design and detail design to production and maintenance. This requires taking responsibility for the mechanics of our projects, collaborating closely with other Motorola hardware developers, our suppliers and manufacturing units.
Specific Knowledge / Skills:
• Creo Elements / Pro 5.0 (Pro / Engineer)
• Windchill PDMLink 10.0
Beneficial Knowledge / Skills:
• Experience of Plastic and/or thin steel designs
• Design of housings for STBs or similar consumer electronics.
Additional Requirements
• Must be fluent in Swedish and English
