Bromma is searching a MECHANICAL DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER R&D CONCEPTS to our office in Kista (Stockholm), Sweden. You will report to Manager, Product Development Mechanical.
You work in close cooperation with the Bromma R&D team, Bromma and Cargotec employees, other internal stakeholders and external vendors.
The purpose of the position is to develop, review, analyze and propose new or improved solutions related to mechanical spreader features with consideration of existing solutions, cost, price, profitability, lead time, volume, and project/customer importance. An important part of this work is a project leading role, both to document and follow up tasks assigned to you, but also planning and leading other project resources where you are assigned as a technical project leader. This position includes several competence area responsibilities within Mechanical R&D. In addition, this role also includes maintaining and developing Bromma?s Design Guidelines for Mechanical Engineering.
Key accountabilities:
• Skills in 3D CAD are important, preferably with Autodesk Inventor
• Experience in using PDM systems, preferably Autodesk Vault
• Project leading skills
• Structured way of working with documentation and specifications
• Ability to communicate your work internally and externally
• See and create new functions and features that give value to our customers
• Develop solutions according to Bromma?s strategy
We expect you to have:
• A Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar knowledge from experience
• Minimum 5 years working experience of Mechanical Design of industrial equipment
• Good knowledge of industrial equipment containing, mechanical structures, hydraulics, electrics and control systems
• Experience in working with standards and directives, especially CE-marking related areas
• Ability to work with people of diverse background
• Very good communication skills in English, speaking and writing
• Ability to travel occasionally, sometimes on short notice, 15-20 days per year in average
• Good social ability, as working with the rest of the organization and directly towards our customers is essential to your success
