hela Sverige You will be part of High Voltage Products in Ludvika - a business unit within ABB's Power Grids division. The business unit develops, manufactures and markets high voltage products for HVAC and HVDC systems, such as surge arresters, breakers, instrument transformers, capacitors, cooling systems and cable accessories.
In this role, you will work with the development of new high voltage products. Your main task will be development of Dry Capacitors, in close collaboration with your colleagues in the development team, suppliers, factories and our customers. As a mechanical development engineer, you will design according to specification, write product documentation and reports, perform development- and type tests, perform calculations and simulations, as well as cooperate with suppliers to find cost efficient and high quality solutions. You will also have close collaboration with the factory to understand the impacts of production of the new product, as well as to lead and assist when prototypes are manufactured.

As a person, you are flexible and willing to also perform practical work, such as disassembly of prototypes after tests. You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in 3D CAD (Creo), PDM systems (Windchill) and Microsoft Office. Experience from ERP-LN and Comsol is qualifying. Fluency in English is a must, while fluency in Swedish is a strong merit.
