We are now looking for a Mechanical Designer to join our product maintenance team within the mechanical design department.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In this role you will continuously improve and optimize our high-volume products from a performance and production perspective.
Your tasks will include analysis of products and manufacturing processes to improve and optimize product quality, production yield or cost down activities. Your tasks will span a wide range of different products, designs and requirements hence an open minded and flexible approach to mechanical design is very important.
Product maintenance at Axis is done in close collaboration with mechanical and electrical engineers, quality engineers and operations, enabling you to grow and learn continuously both from within Axis and in your frequent contacts with suppliers and manufacturers.
The product maintenance team is a growing organization within the hardware department and you will be a key player also in developing processes and methods for high volume management of our full portfolio of products.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an open minded and driven individual willing to share ideas, knowledge and experience on a daily basis to further develop our creative and open environment. Hence, good communication skills and an easygoing attitude are vital. A wide interest and a curiosity within mechanical design and high volume manufacturing is important. A proven ability to think outside the box and work with problem solving in a structured and analytical way will also be a great asset in your daily work.
We believe you have a master in Mechanical Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience within mechanical design and high volume manufacturing. Specific experiences from DFM, improvement projects and onsite production support are highly valued and will come to use in your daily work. Experience in 3D CAD - preferably Pro/Engineer - and fluency in English, both written and spoken, are essential skills.
