We are now looking for a designer who can help us develop new packaging strategies to meet established requirements and maintains oversight and quality of existing packages/containers for all product groups in different projects such as Gripen and T-X. You are involved in the design of fixtures, tools and packaging for different types of transport solutions for aircraft parts, and to implementing changes in commercial packaging systems that are needed to support corporate objectives. You will be the person that coordinate the work, and have many ongoing process at the same time. You will be cooperate with different areas in our business, the purchasing organization and our suppliers. This role is new within Saab therefore you have great opportunities to influence this position.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who has worked for a few years as a mechanical designer with experience in packaging technology, transport and wants to be involved in maintaining and developing packaging solutions. The position involves contact with many other organizations, both internally and externally such as packaging suppliers on new designs, tools and qualifications and provide updates and feedback to the internal projects. Therefore, to be successful in this role you have to be able to build good relationships and cooperate well with others. It is meritorious with knowledge and experience in VPM, Catia or similar CAD systemes. Saab deliver parts and assembled units to customers around the world, it is important that you can handle English in both speech and writing.
What you will be a part of
Aeronautics offers flight-related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aircraft structure and services to defense and civil aviation industries worldwide. Aeronautic is responsible for the development, production, marketing, sales and support of the Gripen.
You will be a part of the section Tool Design. We are working with designing of tools for final assembly and details and jigs for test equipment.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
