This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.
Job Responsibilities
Your main responsibility will lie in the design of the electric machines. The work as a designer on the group provides a unique overall responsibility where you have the opportunity to gain an understanding of how our electrified vehicles are used by the end customer.
The work enables contact with several cross-functional functions within the company, such as with other design groups, testing, market, purchasing and production. The work also involves contact with our colleagues at MAN, International and external suppliers around the globe.
Who You Are
We are looking for you with a positive attitude, self-drive, structured way of working and a great sense of responsibility. You are technically inclined with a sense of dimensioning and optimization. Experience from design, strength simulation, manufacturing methods and advanced CAD modeling are required. You have an MSc in mechanical engineering or similar and probably at least 2-3 years of experience in design work. You master English in speech and writing.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds - your unique experience and perspectives is valuable to us.
This Is Us
The group consists of fifteen employees, all with specialization in electric machine development. We are located in the United States, Germany and Sweden, which provides a geographical spread and access to different technological and cultural perspectives.
The group brings together engineers and developers with many years of experience from leading industries, research institutes and international projects. They have knowledge in both the theory and practice of electric machine design, simulation, prototyping, testing and optimization.
The group is characterized by great diversity, both in terms of background, education and work experience. There are people with roots in different countries, languages and technology cultures, which promotes creativity and innovation.
Within TRATON Group R&D, you are an important part of something bigger. Joining us means gaining access to the ins and outs of the entire transportation industry.
