We are now looking for a Mechanical Designer as a replacement due to that our current employee will move to new external challenges. The position is part of the RD&E department (Research and Development engineering) and you will report to RD&E Director Product Line Oil Cooler.
You will be working in a cross-functional organization with both internal and external experts. You will be expected to coordinate activities across borders and actively interact with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be part of a global and fast growing company with strong presence in the commercial automotive industry.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be specialist in products and technology e.g. performance, design, material, durability, environment, manufacturability, vehicle knowledge etc.
• Perform calculations/simulations within thermal performance, fatigue stress and flow analysis.
• Perform the design/development/validation of products and systems to respect customer specifications, supplier demands etc.
• Ensure the execution of phases related activities and corresponding project documentation to be updated and filed accordingly throughout the lifetime of the project. The product engineer is the design authority representative with full responsibility for all technical aspects related to the product.
• Create necessary technical product documentation
• Take part to meeting with customers when necessary
• Lead technical meeting with suppliers, to be the supplier technical interface
KEY COMPETENCES
• Master of Science in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of work experience in applied area, for example designed own products.
• Proven skills in CATIA V5 or equivalent.
• Good knowledge and understanding of vehicular systems, specifically oil cooling systems, e.g. filter modules systems and oil coolers.
• Can fluently communicate in English, both in speech and in written.
It is an advantage if you have skills in performance calculation of coolant systems-components. It's further preferable if you have skills in CAE simulation and also knowledge in production related to press forming, stamping & cutting and brazing
