Are you ready for a new challenge and to add value within Tetra Pak Processing Components?
The department Technical Product Management Separators at Tetra Pak Processing Components is now recruiting a Mechanical Designer to work in our Product Creation and Product Life Cycle processes. The separator is a important part of the overall Tetra Pak Processing Systems business with a clear role to fill.
The Tetra Pak Separator is bought from Alfa Laval. The auxillary equipment and application responsibility lies within Tetra Pak. The Tetra Pak team specify the market needs to Alfa Laval that then are driving development projects based on this input. Our team are then part of the development projects. We are also doing inhouse tests/field test evaluating new solutions and also working with the current portfolio to continuously improve it.
As a Mechanical Designer you will work independently with development activities and technical investigations. You will also participate in our development projects as well as product maintenance activities and technical support for our existing machines.
You will work in a dynamic organisation where you will have close contact between development, centre of expertise, production, supply chain, marketing and technical support.
Main responsibilities
• Initiate and start up strategic development activities.
• Drive and initiate industrial- and mechanical design activities.
• Manage Technical Investigations and support.
• Perform Mechanical design in Creo.
• Planning, execution and evaluation of tests in laboratory environment and at field tests.
Qualifications
The successful candidate possesses a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering preferably combined with 3-5 years of work life experience from mechanical design and development. Application knowledge within food is seen as a merit. Fluency in English, both oral and written is mandatory.
As a person you are independent and can drive your own work forward. You have a strong and wide technical interest and your technical curiosity makes you a high level performer of problem solving. It is natural for you to set up your own time plans and drive your work to closure in an organized/systematic way. You are a team player and able to communicate with external and internal stakeholders in a supportive way.
The position is based in Lund and includes 5-10% travelling.
